Mike Ditka Tribute One-Of-One Original

$12,500.00

I wanted to create a painting of Mike Ditka as a tribute after he passed away last month. I’ve always loved the iconic moment of Steve McMichael and William “The Fridge” Perry holding Ditka up after the Bears won the Super Bowl in 1986, so I wanted to recreate it with a little fun twist by adding Ditka holding a cigar and his Super Bowl ring.

It was important to me to include McMichael and Perry and pay tribute to them, too, while still keeping Ditka as the main focus. One of the hardest parts was that you can’t really see their faces in the original photo, so I looked through so many pictures of them to help make their faces recognizable in the painting.

This piece is my tribute to Ditka, McMichael, Perry, and an unforgettable moment in Bears history.

This painting is a one-of-one original painting and will never be recreated.
